Got 2 cheap tickets, the woman at the till said they were hoping for 16k attendance. The feel good factor is back at the minute but that will only continue if we beat Salford. I imagine we will get a light show on the Friday night with the floodlights to get the atmosphere built up, something Pearson has mentioned a couple of times. Really looking forward to next Friday hopefully all the hype will be lived up to.

16k is a big target but would be amazing. With the north closed off now the other 3 stands would surely be completely full at that. Would be an amazing atmosphere, I CANNOT WAIT! Do we have any idea how many tickets sold so far?

Briiliant job roadie, I'm just bringing 2 extras, and I thought I'd done alright lol.
Its going to be crackling in there a week on Friday, I just can't wait.
If we stay in the game till the last 20 I'll think we'll have too much for them. But its a Super League opener so its bound to be tight for quite a while. As long as we hold our nerve on the field, and in the stands too we'll be fine.
Talking of the stands......I was just thinking on what yorksguy1865 said a few posts earlier re. attendance. .....
so if its right that the club are forecasting a 16K attendance 8 days before the game, I wonder if our friend Mr Allam has a contingency plan ready for us in the event that we do fill 3 stands and we NEED an overflow ? or simply have between 16K and 17K.
Surely he wouldn't be daft enough to stop ticket sales at the cut off point as that would be seen as blatantly effecting the business in our attempts to maximise the gate and profit. I believe he'd have to cater to market demand and open the North stand. After all he opens all 4 stands for City when they get between 16K and 17 K and even down to 14K all sides were open. Mr Allam happily has spread gates of 16K to 17K (and lower) across the 4 stands. I think that sets a very clear precedent.
Adam you might need to get your negotiating hat on if we maintain the feel good factor and the crowds come with it. ( maybe this attendance thing is actually a different thread ??)
Lets not start over hyping this I think if we get 12/13,000 for Salford we'll do amazingly myself, as we start from a lower base season tickets wise. I think 16,000 is possible one day but it will take some to get to that level, but for me it's way more than we can even hope to get at present but there is certainly a buzz about the place and its great to be positive for a change lets all enjoy it.

I think 16000 is possible but lets not forget there are a lot of cheap tickets within that estimate. Play attractive R/L and win most matches will bring the crowds flocking back. We have a very young pacey backline if Naughton plays on the left but i would like to see Michaels given the left wing spot if Talanoa is not fit. Be great when we have Ellis and Pritchard on the bench.

Let's not get carried away here. We've had two decent pre season workouts against championship and relegation threatened opposition. Sure it was pleasing that the squad has blown the cobwebs away but it's impossible to know for certain where anyone really stands for 10 to 12 games. The opposition in both games was weak but there were encouraging aspects despite the lack of quality against. Don't forget that bloody Radford is still in charge so despite the clear increase in quality of the squad the likes of The Tank, Sika, Carlos and the other internationals will no doubt suffer a major loss of form as a result of working under him. We have to factor that in. Encouraging that more season tickets are selling though. I'd never have predicted that personally as a result of much higher class players being recruited. Steady as she goes. Absolutely mustn't get carried away.
