I hope I'm wrong and ellis shakes off his mounting injury's and plays 20+ games in 2016 and dosent spend remainder of his highly priced contract in the stand and is awarded man of steel but I'm a realist

I feel that even if he wasn't captain he could still have have the respect of the squad to act as a leader on and off the pitch but maybe having someone else as captain and have Ellis support him helps prepare for the next few years?
