You know the fans are keen that you sign and also that they are (or at least were), less than enamoured with the club's recent management. By going to the press, or even just waiting for them to come to you, you can create pressure on the club to get the deal done, as any delay will then worry the fans, and as you've expressed your eagerness to stay you're clearly not to blame. In fairness, it's a difficult question to handle and I'm probably projecting my own sceptical outlook a bit. But given his manager's (mis)handling of his departure from us, and that the timescale has with hindsight proven 'optimistic', that'd be my guess.
Cheers.

Before the Salford game, me and a mate, had a long talk with Mickey in the sports bat (really nice bloke), he said he will be signing the contract, but his lawyer is going over the contract with a fine tooth comb.
He had agreed terms & did need signing, just his target to go play in then NRL was top of his list, Ellis is propping next year. I said a year ago Taylor had signed for 2016, I also know we've signed a back rower & a class centre for next season. So I do know a little.

Any names?
Would be good to see if the names that you say materialise, as anyone can pop in here and say we've signed a 2nd row and centre.
