Whichever way you look at it we have 2 players out of 48 in either squad which is pretty poor & shows we've a long way to go still, as I've said before it's the youth/academy coaching that is as important if not more so than the 1st team so that we ensure we are getting a good crop every year that are ready to be bloodied in SL, at the moment they are coming through in dribs & drabs, Wigan for instance get a good half dozen every year without fail
Not really it shows at this time for whatever reason, the person picking the squads doesn't rate the Hull players or thinks that there are better out there.
Looking at the results of the 16s and 19's we have been up there with the top teams and certainly not far off, it is how they develop from that age and into SL players and I am confident with the current set up, these players will continue to come through like they have the last 3 years.
The youth system at hull is in very good hands and will continue to produce SL standard players.
Last year we had as many players in both squads as the other teams and the likelyhood is that next time we will have more players included.
