Still struggling to think where he'll play. eight? probably, but unless he already possesses a good understanding of union it could be risky. any other pack position is too specalised and he's probably too small.

The press love building people up, just to tear them back down again. While it was only a brief mention, if the press continue to bring their Mum in to it, I can't see any of them sticking around.

What is the definition of a "marquee" signing? Someone who's played NRL? A World Champion ? Who would have the final say?

He'll do well at union not least because the skill levels are so low that anyone with serious talent will be lauded. Hopefully he wont get bored during the endless stoppages and set pieces that characterise that rich and expertly marketed sport.

It would be quite simple I imagine. Each club would be allowed to nominate any player as a marquee player, regardless of their background or experience. That players salary would not count on the cap.
