But going on the p*ss to spite your team is not good.
Agree. And getting drunk individually most nights and turning up to training pie-eyed like we all know happens with certain people is obviously detrimental and wrong. This is probably at the root of our cancer.
But socialising as a team and bonding as a group is positive if everyone's on board. I'm glad to hear from Airlie Birds Wing that this apparently happens. But our team today is a far cry in terms of passion and playing for each other than the Kiwis 80's team.

Knowing one of them and having met the other on more then one occasion I would say they are like two peas in a pod, need someone with a bit of personality to bounce of one of them, they are too much alike!

the other point about going out drinking is that things can turn nasty. you only have to recall some of the recent high profile cases to see this not just in rugby but football and other sports. going out in hull which is a bit of a goldfish bowl there will always be a potential numpty looking for trouble. on top of all else im sure the last thing we need is a high profile court case

I tell you what our current squad does make you realise how undervalued players like McMenemy and Domic were. Ability wise they were never the best in the world but attitude wise you couldnt get any better.

I agree with your point but those players were better than players we have in their positions now in ability terms too IMO.

Domic maybe on ability but not Mcmenemy imo. However you would always get 110% effort from him which players like Tickle need to look at and be ashamed.

Domic was a quality centre dont misunderstand me but he was not an international player or origin rep.
My point is really looking more into what a player brings attitude wise. The 80 minutes a week we see them on the pitch is only a part of the whole package when recruiting players IMO.

McMenemy was better than Radford and arguably as good as Tickle although with different strengths. We really miss him IMO.
