We'll never know, because his job is as safe as it can be.

Uncle Junior wrote:Hi Everyone,

First of all I'd like to introduce myself, I'm 26 years of age and I've been a full-time FC fan for 5 or 6 years now, although I have fond memories of being taken to the Boulevard as a child by my grandad. Due to the fact I'm usually based in West Yorkshire I am unable to attend every match but I would say on average I make it to around 50% of games per season, the majority of which are away games.

I've read this message board with interest for a number of years but have never felt compelled to post myself until now, so aswell as saying hello I want to take the opportunity to lay my cards on the table with regards to my feelings over the current goings on at the club.

I should start by saying I'm a firm member of the 'Agar Out' society. Without wanting to go over too much ground thats already been covered on this board at length, I could see no justification for appointing the man in the first place and since he was given the role I cannot see a single shred of evidence to suggest that he should remain in the role. The man is clearly out of his depth and has failed to demonstrate any tactical awareness or motivational skills in his time in charge and it is my opinion that him and his assistant Jon Sharpe are essentially running the club into the ground.

Agar's sympathisers continue to trot out the 'it's not his team' line and suggest just because some better players have been signed for next season that he 'deserves a chance' to manage that side. I am not prepared to tolerate my beloved team being used as a guinea pig and personally don't feel that Agar deserves much credit at all for next season's signings, anyone with even limited knowledge of our sport could see where the major shortcomings in our squad are, and the line given to us by Mr Rule that Agar was instrumental in persuading these players to sign is frankly nonsense in my opinion, these players have come for the money and/or length of the deal on the table, which is the nature of our sport these days. I will leave it there with my feelings on Agar but I could go on for hours (he can't speak properly, looks scruffy, insults the fans etc etc etc).

Anyway the main point of this post is that Rule (a man I also feel is way way out of his depth) has backed Agar to such a ridiculous extent, with his 'chef's ingredients' analogys etc (Agar isn't fit to be a pot washer!) that he must take responsibility himself. I feel that because Rule has tolerated a win % of 30 odd percent, increasingly appalling performances on the pitch and regression in the abilities of our better players that if he gets his wish and Agar is allowed to stay until next season he has to resign himself when Agar inevitably falls on his sword a few games into next season. By this point it will be a 3rd season down the drain and the extent to which Rule has backed this no-hoper means he is just as responsible as Agar for our downfall and would surely have to go himself.

Apologies for the length of this post, I look forward to any responses and future debates on this forum!

Thanks for reading,
Uncle Junior

I agree with much of what you say about Agar but he's the reason that Rule has such a tough time. If the results were good , if Agar was , lets say , more media friendly ( could speak English etc) then Rule could be left to do the jobs he should be doing and is good at. Morgan does most of the spin and media work at KR. I can't see that keeping Agar is anything to do with Rule , the board yes but not Rule on his own. It doesn't really matter what he thinks , what can he do slag him off?
It's a fait accompli , we're down a blind alley , we've no choice but to keep Agar now or at best end up with Sharp instead. The Board got it wrong when they sacked Sharp P , they did then what we want them to do now and bow to fan pressure to do "something". They should have waited. They shouldn't have appointed Agar. I find it difficult to believe anything Rule says at the moment and bet he does too but unless he joins the Agar out brigade he's got to back him. He's part of the problem in that he was part of the process that got us to where we are but until we get a presentable coach and a squad pulling together he's frankly p1ssing in the wind.

If anyone thinks that our CEO makes decisions on hiring and firing coaches they are well out of touch with things. He like everyone else does as he is told and I am going to amaze a few people with my next comments.

He has done a good job all things considered.

1) He took over in the wake of the cooke saga and steadied the ship

2) He took the blame over the Thackery registration and it was not his fault

3) The club is clearly operating on a good business level, I think even the harshest of the clubs critics would agree with that.

4) He is articulate and has clearly demonstrated a high level of commitment to the club and by that I mean the board.

5) He is loyal to his employer and that is not a crime, the board pays his salary not us muppets.

Agar is one problem

Jimbo is IMHO not :D
