Brilliant news for one of the best prospects in the RL, and another plus point for our great youth development set up. Although he is a totally different player I can see Tom going down in our history as another Horney myself, he just has so much strenght, skill and confidence for someone who is just 19! wWhat woiuld have settled it for me was the way he got over that mistake at Huddersfield in the first minute to come back score a try and have a great game.
But here's a question, the first thing that sprang to mind when I read the E Mail was, has there ever been a contract as long as this granted by the club. I am struggling to remember one!

IMO this is money in the bank for the club, because they won't have to go looking for a big signing to play centre. In 18 months to 2 years this kid will be the best centre in SL.

Excellent signing.
Reckon the long contract is a result of getting stung in the past, this way if he ever wants to leave we'll get a decent fee for him. (Which I hope he never does, unless it's to go to the NRL because SL is too poor a standard for him!)

He's hoping to meet Crocker at the end of his contract
Seriously though, BRILLIANT news. Echoes what I and others have been saying since his run in the side last year. Well done Tom - totally deserved and well done Hull FC!

You could be right Wilf. I seem to recall Rich Horne and Kingy both having four year deals in the past although something naggingly tells me Horne's may have been from age 18-23 but I'm probably wrong. It won't take long for someone to tell me on here!
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the (Dark) Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

Totally agree and also a result of getting an A License and the '9 years security' that gives, and a coach who wants to build a trophy winning team around local and British players. Just now and again in the life span of a fan you see someone who has got that certain something that sets him out even at a tender age from the rest! Lee Crooks, Garry Schofield, Richard Horne etc. Then you wonder will we be able to hang onto him, in this case that worry is answered! Big signing for us!
