Tony is a nice bloke until you disagree with him but I feel he is a tad out of touch with the the modern ways of Rugby League.
Only time will tell.
Our club specifically has a problem with starting well then dropping off in the Summer though, something has been wrong with our approach for years now. From a Marketing perspective it better to win games at the end not the start, people forget the early season poor displays. The end of season horror shows linger all winter.

ACL and Achilles injuries have become prevalent in the modern game. I think you’ll find that nearly all RL teams will have a slow steady build up to the Christmas break and then intensify training afterwards. It’s probably you that’s out of touch with modern RL. Willie Peters is unused to preseason training in a British winter, Aussies are used to warming down in outside swimming pools.
The fact most of the squad need to play well to get a new deal with us or another team works very much in our favour next season. Jamie looks visibly fitter on recent photos for starters.
