The try was 50/50 but on the balance of play I thought we just about deserved it.

We need to dramatically improve our last play sets. The kicking is ineffective. This is one thing we miss from Sneyd's departure.

He dropped one high kick under pressure but didn't see any other howlers.
You do miss stuff at the game though so if our TV analysts have more examples I'm open to being corrected.

It was our usual nervy finish but who wants easy games eh?

Thought it was a committed performance although execution was a bit scratchy.
They should all have to do some sort of forfeit for that Clark try, talk about amatuer hour!

It’s alarming the amount of times the team switch off and turn their backs usually it’s only one or two at a time not all 13 and not what you’d expect from a kids team and certainly not a pro team.
Plenty of effort today but something just doesn’t seem right as do disjointed.
Thought Fash, Brown, Sao & Mau really took it to Wire. Thought Wynne was decent too a caused a threat to Warrington too until he went off.
Not a lot much else to say as thought it was two poor teams but we managed to get out of jail with a dubious decision though it’s about one went our way.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Think Fash got it although Brown ran him close.

Decent attendance after the doom and gloom over the last couple of weeks.

Not out of the question that we could be fourth in a week's time.

Good performances from Fash, Johnstone and Brown - plus Ma'u continuing to impress, probably our form player over the last few weeks.

And still above that lot in the table? :o

As someone mentioned on another thread Mini got another year which was a year too long. I remember when we signed Galea after Rovers released him which turned out to be a shocking signing.

We need to get into the mindset of rather letting a player leave a season too early than a season too late. This should be Ma’u’s last season for us, irregardless of how he performs now. We have to look longer term. But I’d agree - he was brilliant tonight.

Might have been mentioned earlier in the thread but Gale’s kicking out of hand (not his goal kicking, which was ultimately part of why we won today) was atrocious today. Too deep, didn’t give our team chance to get to the ball and ultimately gave us little direction in attack. Only the one kick towards the end that hit the post pads, and the grubber to touch once we needed to run the clock down, could be deemed as half decent. As raised a few posts back, we massively miss this aspect of Sneyd’s game.

On current evidence, we need to make sure we’re not in a position where we have to use Gale next season (if he has a clause after a number of appearances this year, I’d steer away from that becoming fixed)

Mini got his extra to try and make up for the cash he lost in investing in a club sponsor who went bust. Right or wrong, that’s why it happened.

A game we really did try and give away today and yet the winning margin could have been so much greater if not for schoolboy errors.

Our play of the ball is still too slow.
Our almost static defensive line.
Still too lateral.
Poor last play options.
And our reluctance to put pressure on the opposition kicker.

That said the effort was there and they never gave up.

Pleased to be on the right side of a narrow winning margin for a change though.
Hopefully this will provide impetus and confidence for next week.

Nice to see Powell still moaning even though this is 1 of the poorest Warrington teams I've seen for a while.
