A great result, Salford were poor though, I was expecting a very difficult game but Jake ran the show and Lane was great too. I was sorry for Cam Scott, his best game for me and his injury was unfortunate, but hopefully he gets a lot of confidence from his time on the field, because he hasn't really impressed before that and he is an ex GB junior captain I believe, so there is a player somewhere in there, maybe this will help him to show more. I do think abject refereeing is spoiling the game and Salford's number 13 was harshly sinbinned for me. Pleased for Josh Bowden too- he's been written off by most of us and he had a decent game and will be a great addition to the 17, if he can maintain and improve that level. Gives us a great platform to tackle Castleford, they'll be hurting and the anxiety of no wins will either motivate or deflate them - watched them against Rovers and their pack, including Watts , were nothing to fear, their discipline is much like ours too , so we may well see both teams with sinbinnings and lets hope we can start to learn from previous misdemeanours, although the application of the rules is now ruining the game, some head tackles are not malicious, just the opposite mostly and I hope the refs calm down a bit or the game is not RL anymore for me.

Did their 13 get binned I thought he was just put on report?

Not sure whether discussed already but I was pleasantly surprised by the attendance - felt like a good gate and announced as over 10k for not the most glamorous fixture (no offence intended) and on the back of a big loss. I've always liked Saturday as game day - maybe more weekend fixtures will help the number of walk ups.

I was really surprised when they announced 10k!
Hopefully an upturn in home form can see us sustain and improve of that figure

A good crowd on Saturday but even more pleasing is that the larger crowd at last went home happy and enjoyed the afternoons game which can only be a huge positive in enticing fans to come back. Need to carry on and show that it wasn't just a flash in the pan performance and perform consistently.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Me too! Nevertheless it was great to put in such a complete performance and see fans smiling after having to witness some horror shows in recent seasons.
