Rovers starting to look a bit tired now with Griffins try.

Game changed for us when Quinlan went off. Defence unorganised. Pearson wanted to see good attacking rugby at the KCOM, well he got it from Rovers.

Griffin was MOM
The numpty is the one who pulled him off to play Fonua
Should have just moved Josh into the second row as Savellio was tired

Its two points and thats all that matters but have to say HKR can play R/L and their coach has to be admired for what he has produced.
Had Quinlan not had to go off we could have lost that game.

Once again our discipline was poor and the penalties made it difficult for us.
total contrast to last week

Was a really good game for 2nd match of the season, after the Sunday slog, I’m happy with that. Radford gave our star player a 10 min rest to give another top quality player 10 mins, no problem with that. Personally would of taken swift off, but no worries with that. Really really impressed with Sao

The two points is what matters but didnt think those interchanges were very good when we took off the MOM yet Savellio was on his knees after another strong game.
Like you very happy with Ligi Sao and also Satae before he got that head knock
Downside to tonight for me was indiscipline giving away some stupid penalties and Sneyds kicking from hand which was poor

Sao and Griffin the stand outs. Typical derby but a good sign for us to take the 2 points with a below average performance attacking wise.

Don’t buy into the whole “super rugby” from Rovers. Crazy offloads and hope for the best which caught us out once. Be a close call between them and Toronto for the drop.

Made hard work of it, errors and poor discipline, to win though is the big positive and rye fact we came strong in the last 20 after a short turnaround shows how fit we are, despite having lots of big men.

Fair play to Rovers, showed lots of heart and throw the ball about well at times, but try apart, we dealt with them throwing the ball wide well.

Still think there us more to come from Hull, big test next week

You could be right, but thought rovers where very good tonight to be fair, get a few big bodies back and play consistently with that intensity, think they’ll cause a few problems. Very happy to get the 2 points tonight
