I think the recruitment process has been handled well. We seem to have landed many of the players we've been targetting and been able to get Fonua back too as a bonus. We look set in the backs, halves and back row, just prop looks a gap but we're not done quite yet. It's only August too, makes sense to sequence first team recruitment as the priority then look at reserve building given we've already got many contracted players likely to play in that comp from the main squad also.

Could be, says SL clubs circling. With reserves being introduced properly next year I'd expect there to be a lot of talent at that level doing tours of potential SL suitors, probably nothing in it.
