Only a week ago everyone was slitting their wrists, now Chase bagged, Brough in negotiations and who else no one knows. Have some faith, did people think AP bought the club to let it rot
I'm sure there must be "legs" in the chase rumours, or those Cas posters who have been on your Board rubbishing it time and time again, would be doing the same now!
I did wonder about his visa/work permit. There was a cynical rumour going round after his conviction in Australia that his sudden interest in representing England, had more to do with being able to continue playing in the UK after his current visa ran out, than any great desire to play for us! The fact that he now has a child born in the UK of a UK mother, suggests that was wide of the mark!
You never know perhaps the RFL will let you register him before Friday and then allow you to play him when all the paperwork comes through. Tricky bit though is he cant be employed by you without visa/work permit clearance.
As far as Brough is concerned I am sure Huddersfield will be doing all in their power to keep him, including swapping the captaincy from Brown to him. I suppose much will depend upon whether he thinks things are going to be better now that Nathan Brown has gone!

No offence, but you said there was absolutely no chance of us signing McGoldrick.
