I'd rather sign Julian from Catalans as think we need to improve our 17 rather than invest in long term projects (when we have a few already), but could take Longstaff as a squad player if we recruit an overseas backrower. My fear is that Longstaff is seen as Ma'u replacemnet and I don't think he is the right type of player we need and isn't ready to play in our best 17 of we want to progress.
I think Julien is the most realistic we can hope for. Still be a decent signing and if we can get longstaff too then would give us plenty of options in the back row

Not convinced myself.
I know he’s a big bloke but has a few mistakes in him and has only lasted a year at Manly after being released by Parramatta.
