Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Thought we got absolutely suckered by a Catalan team filled with players that can get under the oppositions skin and push the rules to the very limit. We have got away with it so far this season but the bench selection and usage was diabolical, Houghton was out on his feet and his passing accuracy was effected big time. Carrying Cameron Scott on the bench instead of Bureta is just mind boggling, the biggest criticism I can aim at Scott is that whenever he gets the ball or any is running at him I panic and expect something bad to happen.

Not sure why people are criticising Houghton for not scooting when the PTB speed was the slowest I've seen in a game since the 6 again rule came in.

He has been criticised on here a fair bit but thought Ma'u was very good and kept McMeecken in check all game and game up with some great runs in the second half.

I didn't get a particularly good view of the incident from the West Upper so can anyone give their thoughts on Satae's sin bin?
From my distant vantage point it looked like the Catalans player slipped as Satae was going into tackle him and 10 mins seemed harsh.
If he cops a ban then we are in a world of trouble in the front row next week.

Awful decision to sin bin him. Penalty probably justified as it has been given in the past despite players slipping.

To be honest it was just about in front of where I was sat and Maloney completely lost his footing and almost face planted himself on Satae and he was around the height of Satae's knee. There didn't seem to be a lot that Satae did or could have done such was the angle and speed Maloney was going down and was more a collision than anything.
I thought Kendall giving a penalty was harsh but to then to give a yellow was just a joke. I'm all for protecting players in the game from head shots but the RFL and the officials really need to have a re think if an attacking players head is below waist height of defending player because they have lost their footing as the attacking player nor defensive player are expecting that so neither can readjust such is the speed and is ultimately collisions of this type are part of the game that you can not legislate for.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

It will be interesting to see if Griff gets a ban for chucking the ball and it hitting the linesman with a minute left which the linesman brought to the attention of Kendall.

We do seem to getting a sin-bin almost every game at the moment. Some deserved and some ridiculous.

so we're looking at another month for Taylor and possibly 3 weeks for Bowden. I'm guessing there's nothing out there as a loan option to strengthen our pack. I thought the lad who was at Wigan Kilner would of been a good option financially and could of possibly ended up being a bit of a shrewd signing.

Certainly got some decisions to make from an attacking aspect in regards to evolving the team. Some blame Connor, some Sneyd, some Houghton. will be interesting to see what positions we recruit in. I know which ones I'd look to improve.

Everyone says it every week , no consistncys from the officials.

What did everyone make of the obstruction just before the try they scored the one where the kick hit the post then Langi scored

Looked clear as day with the Catalans ball carrier running into the back of his teammate who was in the defensive line, did I see it wrong? I couldn't believe it wasn't given

Unfortunately we still have some players that cant be dropped, I'd go with Wynne, Connor and Reynolds against Leeds. Give Sneyd a kick up the booty, give us some pace and more creativity.
