Well if he is proven guilty of biting, we have lost him for a while, that's min grade E, he'd be looking at 4 to 8 games out. I'm surprised we've not heard more about it if that is the charge.

The fact is the Officials have been p155 poor as the decisions by the ref's or lack of regarding both Ferres & Westwood shows this. Now because the refs are not seen to be held accountable they now seem hell bent on carding players because they are sadly lacking in ability and sense as officials. If the Watts incident was a red card then McShane should have seen a yellow for running in trying to throw his handbag, Shenton was also guilty of a similar incident in the 2nd half that saw Turget sin binned and banned for an elbow to the face of the tackled player. The Officials under the stewardship of Ganson are a complete farce and the standard and level of consistency is pretty poor. Unless the RFL tackle the issues with regards the standard of officials the sport will continue to suffer. For me both Childs and Hicks as linesmen where pretty much a 'look at me' type of official and since becoming Ref's that ego seems to be growing along with some of the other ref's. Whilst they are an important facet of the game they have to realise they are not some kind of RL Gods.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

We've had that rule for quite some time I believe, and it's quite right as well. You haven't been tackled fairly. But if completely accidental and not reckless or malicious, a penalty is all it should be in my opinion. Some promote the idea that head highs should be an automatic yellow.
Dave K said "any contact with the head, whether accidental or not, is a penalty".
I was referring directly to the wording of that rule.

I think he meant the win was 100% deserved, not the red card.

Fair assessment of the game from Darryl Powell on a certain video site under "Powell disappointed".
Seems he's a Fonua fan.
