Not sure Hadley will be back next week? Watts may cop a ban, Ellis will have a head test I guess.
Awful game, and I still think we are lacking a big impact prop, too many second rowers in the squad. Radford also needs to learn to adapt his tactics, it was clear Connor at halfback wasnt working so why didnt he switch him with Carlos to shake it up?

Far too many penalties which eventually lost us the game although I fail to see the difference between Moa`s challenge on Ellis and the one Taylor was penalised for.
Timing in attack was way off but confident that will improve as the season progresses.
Still 2 tries to 1 so reverse of last season.
The difference for me was that Moas was a tackle, Taylors just sort of pushes him. If Taylor puts his arms up and effects a tackle he probably gets away with it. I've not seen any replays though so could be wrong.
Anyone else feel underwhelmed with Griffin Certainly cant tackle.Nowhere near International standard if thats his aim. Workrate and tackling from Tuimavave was once again very good Connor did nothing to press Kelly for a starting spot at half back. If there is no improvement from Griffin,I can see Radford bringing Michaels back on the wing and moving Fonua back to centre with Carlos taking the left centre position.
Not the best game but credit to Catalan...a real strong defensive effort with injuries impacting their interchange options. Thought Carols defensive was impressive and did well with ball in hand. all our props stood up well...again. We offered little in attack but that will come time.
Nothing to get too concerned about for me...Catalan will go well this year imo

We certainly seem to go go to pieces when Ellis goes off, lets hope he's back soon.Didn't think Catalan were much better than us but they were more organised, half backs kicked well and they had Greg Bird who was instrumental in their try just after half time.
It wasn't as bad a game as you are making out. There was a lot of intensity in the game and the battle between Manu, Taylor, Watts and Haughton against Moa, Bird and Casty was fantastic with some cracking hits put in. Catalans were superb tonight particularly defensively and with Walsh stepping into 9 when it got heated their game management was good. They have always been capable of performances like that and on their day they can beat anyone in Super League, they just don't have the squad to maintain it over a season. You missed Kelly tonight, that spark and individual threat to unlock their defense was sorely missed. But as one or two of you have mentioned, it was your discipline that cost you the game. I think Hull genuinely have the best 17 in Super League, the only side that has quality in both the backs and the pack. But you are also the dumbest side in the league without question. Watts lifting for the penalty was mind blowing and there were several other completely unnecessary penalties conceded.

Same as last year at times tbh but minus the .1% we had to get the victory
Im normally Tuimavaves biggest critic but he was decent tonight. Green/Bowden invisible, same old directionless without Ellis off the pitch. Mini had a good game as did Manu, Fonua and Tala tried but with very little ball. Sneeeeeyd was poor, Conner looks a squad player at best. Thompson and Washbrook both average infact all subs poor
