And I fully believe you on that score, hence the "don't take offence" caveat.
That said

If we are no longer in the hunt, who were we looking at?
Luke kelly was the target, before him we tried brough, green, travis burns, Carlos has most attributes that these lot have, the good thing with him is he's a total athlete very professional which is easier for our staff to manage & develop him. I'm chuffed for him because he wants to succeed.

If that doesn't work then I wouldn't mind having a look at Brough again
Danny Brough would be sensational in this team. Its wishful thinking though that we could get him

What after one and a half games that included one great long pass and really not much else. Whats happened to your so called inside info on an overseas 6? Seems to be a waste of time Motu going to Australia

So you are saying the coaching staff are making this decision on one & half games? Are you for real? My info comes from a good source, not a steward, we are going with Carlos who will do a great job for us, I trust the club with decisions as we are going well so far.

If you are so in the know you will know that Radford saw Tuimavave as a left centre. He also trained all pre season in that position. Having watched him at centre i have to agree.Elusive runner, good ball handling and played well off Pritchard.Since his injury we have lost the attacking flair on the left. The club are doing great at the moment but since his injury Carlos has played one and a half matches at 6 the highlight of his play was a great long pass to Yeaman which resulted in a great try for Mini. Dont get me wrong i like Tuimavave but for Radford to make a complete U turn and now think Carlos will make the 6 we need after one and a half games particularly after comparing his early centre play to Joel Moon just seems ambiguous. What was the point in sending Motu to Australia?
Danny Brough is, what, 34? Still a terrific player but he'd only be a short term solution. Plus it sounds like we tried to do a deal but Huddersfield are understandably reluctant to release their best player. Established, top line NRL halves are out of our price range. In fact, due to the value of the position I'd guess that in terms of average salary, halves would be at the top of the list in the NRL, meaning even average NRL starters are likely out of our price range. So for established players coming out of the NRL we'd be looking at the tier below that or at aging veterans who can only get 1 year deals in Oz. Either way I am not sure we'd get value, we'd either pay top whack for an average / below average NRL half or have to give a veteran a longer contract than we'd like to.
That's just the reality of the NRL having a salary cap 3 times ours.
We've been too quick to write off young halves in the past, Sneyd is starting to look the real deal and Carlos has shown enough skill set IMO to prove he can be an effective long term 6, with skills complimentary to Sneyd, and potentially a high ceiling given an extended run at the position and some patience. Don't get me wrong, he's not the finished article and clearly needs to grow in confidence in the role, but he's worth a chance. It'd be great to get another year out of Pryce as back-up on a reduced contract, perhaps with some coaching responsibilities, but not sure how likely that is.
BTW, I agree Carlos looked good at left centre and could also go well there, I guess it's a question of balance. Griffin's availability may have changed Radford's view, especially if our preferred stand off options are unavailable or out of our price range.

He's going to be a running 6 not a brain surgeon, he can pass he's quick, the staff see him as the man to wear the stand off shirt, so for me it will do, now unless he flops which I don't think he will, he has come in as a centre as we have LP this year, but a lot of players have started centre & switched to 6, a lot have played 6 & gone to centre, Sneyd will be the organising pivot Carlos will be the runner. Motu went to try & recruit, are you unaware of his role at the club?

To build contacts for future recruitment, you can't argue with Motu's recruitment so far. I reckon at the time, we were after a 6 and maybe Kelly and Green turned us down, so rather than sign an average or injury prone half like we have done in the past, we can stick with what we have and maybe make a mid season signing.
All those people doubting EasthullFC, he knows Radford, I have seen the evidence, if he puts too much on here, then he won't get to find out things in the future. He has told me numerous things in the past that have come true.
