He had enough time and space to compose himself in my opinion. The effort we put in tonight produced that opportunity for us to win the game with that opportunity. He didn't have the skill set to take it.
I get it's easy to say and in the moment it's more difficult to execute, but for me and maybe it's just disappointment after a great effort from the team, but those chances have to be taken.
Hopefully Sutcliffe back soon, so Griffin can go back into the back row. Lane scares me everytime he's in a tackle as he needlessly keeps hands in or pushes their player as he stands up. He is a walking '6 again'
Lovodua needs to be out now too, I'd be happier with Carlos at 6 than Joey

Saints also defended well tonight, I can't remember too many times if any we beat the first man. Hoy had a lot of easy catches tonight but never saw him beat the first defender.
Young Litten without being spectacular did enough to keep his place for next week. Looked a lot more confident a player than Mcintosh.
Bounce of the ball dwyer nearly made the difference. Joey not good enough at 6. If fit I’d have Sutcliffe there for Leigh game. Not ideal but until Truman or macnamara are fit then it’s best option.

Gotta say that Brad Fash, possibly the smallest forward in the league is a giant of a player. He stood out for me again out of both packs of forwards. Another great shift from him tonight.

Houghton is still the best number 9 at our club. Change my mind if you can?
When quality players like Tom Johnstone become available, we sign Brad Dwyer who hasn't made it at his last two clubs. That's why Catalans are top of the league and we're in the bottom few. They can attract top players while we sign average jorneymen.
We could have made do with Houghton and Lovodua playing at hooker. We just can't attract the the quality players to sign for us.
As was said after the Salford game by FC fans a loss is a loss. It doesn’t matter what the score is, it’s still a loss whether you lose by 8 points or 50.
Saints were there for the taking tonight and you came up short……again.

And you’ve been hanging around all night with your crusty sock waiting to post something?

Talking of Hoy have to say im disappointed so far from what ive seen so far. Maybe the expectation was high given he was likened to a Jai Field type attacking full back but we have seen zero running game from him either individual breaks or backing up breaks. Saw more from Walker whilst he was here last season. Lets hope he improves
