The long kicking game was dreadful meaning we never made Huddersfield work to clear their line because too many of the kicks went dead.
People talking about converting Shaul into a hooker but I think it's Ben Mac that should be turned into a hooker. He doesn't have much pace but his passing is accurate and he is a good defender. He can't do any worse than Johnstone who seems so far out of his depth it's ridiculous and his attempt on Cudjoe for his try was just pathetic.
That's a good call on McNamara, once Reynolds is back you could play him hooker off the bench, he did a short spell there against Huddersfield at home.

Looking at the stats for the game its clear that Huddersfields game plan of targeting us around the ruck worked really well, our top 3 for missed tackles was our starting front row (Houghton 8, Satea 5 & Sao 4) and those 3 seemed to be the guilty parties for most of the set restarts. Ligi in particular seems to be somebody that gets pinged a lot for it, sometimes unfairly though in my eyes.
Given how much work we ask of our backs Scott coming up with only 6 runs for 32 metres is really poor and Fonua was way down on his workrate from previous weeks too with 8 for 48.
McGillvary sets the tone for them so much and letting him get to 200 metres is crazy and there isn't a stat for it but every PTB he seemed to leave players out of the next tackle by been on the floor or not square. You would imagine he would have been on our tip sheet to control him and failed massively

We pretty much got what we deserved last night, not playing for so long seems as bad as playing too much. We were clunky, laboured and at times even appearing lazy, BH had installed a great work ethic in our team, but without the energy of Cator and Mau, we went away from this work ethos and was out enthused.
Huddersfield have had a great advantage by simply playing games, while we stiffened up doing nothing.
Our star men big Chris and Liggy were under par, we need Taylor back to share the work load, Huddersfield full value for the points, and as I said after they played Wigan, in young Will Pryce they have a great future star.
Our support for a Thursday night was excellent, we put the majority of clubs to shame.
Coach Watson is certainly one for alienating whole communities all of Salford, and now half of Hull don’t like the attitude of the little Princess,
Call me old fashioned, but as we were the only game played in the league, couldn’t the authorities have found a referee who wasn’t born and bred in Huddersfield to officiate this fixture.
Big game on Thursday and one all supporters of AP and our club should be attending if possible, let’s show these bias Sky commentators what real fans sound like.
