What I saw was a young kid get given a chance with some big boots to fill and whilst he didn't set the world on fire he didn't let anyone down either. Every has this obsession with that we need to score 50 points a game , you don't because if your defence is good enough you always have a chance. BM will grow in stature slowly but surely and if he isn't gonna get given a chance why are we paying him.
Dont get we wrong i am all for giving young players a chance but the decision has to balanced.
As you say Ben will slowly grow in stature but playing him whilst Reynolds is out could be at the expense of winning some important games coming up.
Little point in giving him another chance against Wakefield and then changing it for Wigan so i expect to see a change at half back next week .
A little more experience and stronger running of the ball at six makes a big difference giving the opposition defence a lot more to think about.
