Same rubbish different season. The player roster changes but the turd tactics, edge defence and mental fragility stays the same.
Powell or Wane would be my choices from over here. Although the chances of that happening are next to zero.
Next up your I'd look at Watson or Ward, but again cant see either of those 2 happening.
Aussie assistants can be hit and miss. We could get a Holbrook or Rick Stone.
AP needs to do something though. If not we'll plod along, get a couple of good results throughout the season but ultimately miss he play offs.
You only end up with a 'Rick Stone' if you dont do your research. Saints spent time searching for Holbrook and I beleive spent weeks down under doing interviews, they ended up with a coach with ideas and determination to do well as a head coach. Downside is coaches like that are more likely to leave for a bigger job, but look what a legacy he has left.
Our current situation is similar to when we sacked Kear. We had a coach who had been in the setup years, had won us our first trophy in years and the squad had good players..but we were erratic, capable of pulling off a shock win but then losing easier games at home. We then opted for some Aussie expertise in Sharp and he instantly lifted the team and got us a Grand Final. I remember seeing improvements in our play straight away. We need a similar boost now.

I dont think he left on good terms, having played well and put his body on the line whilst not fully fit we ditched him for the even more injured Dykes. Of course its a totally different board at the club now, but not sure he will remember his time with us that fondly.

Were any of you actually there this afternoon. For 75% of the game we were on top. We switched off for 10 minutes (again). The players on the field at the time are responsible for that, not the coach

AP has already stretched the finances this year. People thinking there is cash to pay off Radford and Last and bring in a new coaching team including paying a release fee should prepare themselves for disappointment IMO.
Take away the 2 CC wins (which yes, are amazing achievements) what have we done under radders?
We have played poor rugby, not looked like challenging for grand finals.
We've seen the same old errors, penalties, poor style, more recently poor defence. All this with different set of players. So all things have stayed the same except the players...doesnt take a rocket scientist to work out what the probably is.
Yes, I cheered when. We won both CC finals, but even back then, it was papering over the cracks. I've said I wanted radders out since before we won the CC finals, always stuck by it.
We have not made any real progress in the years of radders. Better coaches have done more, with less quality, less money etc
I really can't see why a few people can't see radders has to go. I see " its only a few games in" bit its not...its several years in and its the same old chit!
As for other coaches, who would take over or who I would want to take over...my first choice would be Powell at Cas, he always gets the best out of players, most players that if FC would sign, we would be asking why, they're crap etc. He gets cas playing good rugby, exciting rugby and winning rugby.

I can 100% promise you that Mat Head loves Hull FC. Given the chance and if the circumstances were right he would return.

I’m pretty sure James Clarke said that the club are often in touch with him regarding player recruitment.
