Full on punch to Fash’s face and a head high tackle on Griffin before halftime and another close to full time. Think the fullback? took off and flew at FC players head resulting in a penalty? The shepherding and forward passes were a joke at times. Lower leagues deffo. Can the match commissioner not take a hand in this?
Certainly inconsistencies on shepherding and high shots, hope no action against Ellis as he was great again today.

Don’t like to come away from games talking about the ref but that was absolutely shocking. The guy was clueless and couldn’t keep up with the game at all. Hopefully he’ll have a few weeks off for how long the Wakey doctor was on the pitch before he paused time.
Second to this, we seem far behind the rest of the league when it comes to exploiting the ref. Took us until well into second half to see forward passes were fair game!

He's the standout forward, but what about: Pauli Pauli (6ft 5ins, 18st 13lb), Keegan Hirst (6ft 5ins, 19st 3lb), Craig Kopczak (6ft 4ins, 17st), Justin Horo (6ft 3ins, 15st 10oz), with Tinirau Arona for good measure (he's a relative lightweight at 5ft 11ins and 16st 10lb!
Just got back after the match (to my South Midlands home). Didn't I say that we'd tire out the massive Wakefield pack?!
Seriously though, I thought it was a typical week-after-Easter game; both sides looked exhausted in the scond half and made loads of mistakes (although not as many as Mr Moore!) But well done the lads, including the tactics from Lee.

The ref was equally as poor for both sides but to add a little balance and contrast there was an interesting comment from Ganson last week regarding the standard of refereeing. He said if you are a young rugby player you have reserve grade or loans at lower leagues to learn, improve and make mistakes. A referee as such doesn't have that luxury due to the low numbers and so their training when they step up to being professional has to be on the job. Fair comment I think, we all have to start somewhere and improve from learning from our past experiences.

Ha! The last quarter was awful, wasn't it? Errors, inexplicable penalties, forward passes. Easter period needs looking at with backing up on Friday too, players must be knackered.

Completely agree with this. Definitely a pattern that the referees you dread getting are inexperienced/new, only for 5 years later to be praying to get them.
Can anyone tell me what the penalty we won in the last minute was for? I assumed obstruction at the time, but having watched the highlights, I can't see anything?

I think the ref is still trying to work that one out himself so we fans have no chance.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
