Selling one of the best props in the country to a genuine top 4 rival... On the face of it, it seems ludicrous. Especially when you factor in the comments from his Dad about him never being disciplined by the club. Something's kicked off and I'm sick of reading rumours. I just wish the club would come out and say something, but understand the reasons they won't do that. I'm gutted as think he's a fantastic talent and brought a different dynamic to our forward play.
The club have tried to sugarcoat it with the announcement of Masi and Carlos (fantastic news on both accounts), but I still find myself thinking we've made a huge error. Obviously only time will tell but we are undoubtedly significantly weaker after today.
There are still times when a club (or any employer) can be very unhappy with an employees actions but without any grounds to discipline them. For example if a player had an affair with another players wife, strictly speaking that wouldent be any of the clubs business, but it might have the entire dressing room in uproar.
NOT suggesting that is the situation here, just giving an example of where ‘never disciplined’ wouldent be the full story.

You totally missed the point, nothing to do with who we sold/who replaced them or who we didn't sign. It was about a poster stating I never get anything right even though I like everyone else was giving an opinion about Watts, they only responded to have a pop/out themselves as an idiot and nothing else. Typical of the type really.
At the end of the day, a great player but an absolute moron.
This is a really strong statement by the club, no player no matter how good you are is bigger than the team. It’s an incredibly important message for our youngsters and current crop of players. Anybody within our squad who doubts the clubs resolve professionalism above all else is now in no doubt.
For what it’s worth, while he’ll be missed as he is a good player I don’t think he is the kingpin and we have certainly won plenty of games without him. We have a deep squad will high quality professional and influential veterans and great youngesters and I think Hull will still be up there contending for the grand final at the end of the season.
