Your predictions were always ludicrous. Those players you acquired were never going get you up there competing with the Wigans and St Helens of this world. For your current side to compete with them they'd have fall down a few levels. Nothing wrong with a bit of optimism but some prospective rather than rash predictions was always needed.
I aren't sure about social media, no doubt there were people getting carried away. But on here most people had us around 4th or 5th I think.
My opinion since the end of last year (and I said this on the VT predictions thread if you want to dig it up) is that the squad is plenty good enough to compete and maybe even win things, but as long as Radford is in charge it will be another wasted opportunity and we will finish 5th or 6th.
