Pretty good weekend really.
Yep, couldn't have gone much better for us. Unfortunately (in one sense} we are compromised by having to try and peak for the cup when our nearest rivals for a top 5 place get the luxury of a week off, so makes Thursday's win more important as no doubt we'll be distracted the week before and after the semi.
Rovers play London twice, plus Leeds, Huddersfield and Salford, plus Wigan twice away, plus us of course, and one or two others. Tricky, it looks very tight in the bottom 5 or so.
Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

That's a nice little set of fixtures for them to secure top 5. At this point it looks like Leeds are in the biggest trouble. RFL won't like that with their big fanbase and lovely stadium. At least they have 2 points guaranteed when we play there - is it 12 years?

Yeah, that would be good. What a crazy, yet interesting Super league it is this season (unless you're a Saints fan - then I guess it's quite boring, so far )

It's really interesting, isn't it? With 12 rounds still to go as well (I think?) there are so many scenarios to play out. As said I think Leeds will be worried, although can't imagine they won't replace Watkins they look bereft of ideas at the line in much the same way we did under Agar. Fortunately that seems a long time ago now! From our perspective I think we are done with Warrington already in SL, but still have Saints twice. Can see us tripping up at Headingley a few days before.

Leeds only real threat is Hurrell. Build a game plan which to neutralise him and we should have too much for them and a long over due Headingley win.
I am more concerned about the Derby on 27th. With a new coach, a win yesterday and the possibility of putting some daylight between them and London next week I think rovers confidence could be as high as it’s been in a while when we go there. Would be nice to have Ellis back for this one.

Totally agree about Hurrell. In the same way Agar's attacking gameplan at Hull was to chuck it to Willie Manu and expect a miracle he is doing the same at Leeds with Hurrell in this role. And agree also on Rovers, especially with home advantage. Does anyone have an update on Tuimavave? Seems a long time since we've seen him.
I hope London find a way to stay up. With little time to put a squad together and a smaller playing budget than most they've done a great job. A good reason to look at franchising again imo
