The fans have been amazingly patient to this point but it won't last and our next 3 games all look like ones we're more likely to lose than win with our current form. To go zero from 5 with 16 losses on the bounce would be hard to take no matter what the circumstances.
I know its frustrating at the moment Jake, nobody likes losing, but somebody has to.
The second half of last season couldn't be helped when we had the majority of our wage bill sat in the stands, and when some of them did return, there wasn't much to play for. dwelling on what went on last season, ain't gonna do us any good.
It'll turn, it just takes that one lucky bit of luck or bit of magic and then we'll be able to smile again, taking away the tension.
We're certainly gonna enjoy our next win, which is something to look forward to, don't ask me when it's going to come though, because I'd probably say at Wigan.

Theirs losing then theirs getting 70 and 80 points put on you, injuries no way an excuse for that , can accept the 2 narrow defeats this season , but on the back of 11 shamble defeats last season, no way can I be as optimistic as you
I don't think we were far off v Cas. The backs were well matched and their forwards probably just edged it. We still had several chances on their line but could not find away over, sometimes a little guile was needed when brute force was not working, though heaven knows Jake tried his best on that front. If their forwards did edge it then they were really only up against Taylor and Westerman and a Danny tackling machine, so guess under those circumstances you could say it was a massive effort from Taylor and particularly Westy who did amazing considering he had to be ring rusty.
The rest of the pack can hang their heads for me, Litten apart. But oh how I wish Danny would just please please run at the line more, just to give their front markers something to think about.
Roby is a masterclass in that area, what will he do ? Run at the teeth ? run wide and straighten? simply pass, run past a dummy and then pass, kick over and chase ? kick long for territory ? He has the defence thinking everytime. Because you never really know. I just dont think Danny puts that same doubt in the oppostions mind. So they shape up for Danny pass option every time and usually they're spot on. His long kicking is quite good but its not an attacking threat in the last 3rd. Rant over.
We have to hope we take confidence into our next game and we build on our positives and make a real game of it, win or Lose.
Looking at the forwards stats on the other post, and wondering does the distribution need to be smarter instead of picking Taylor out all the time, is Taylor being over assertive in trying to drive it in all the time at the expense of the others? And is our play the ball too slow with Houghton as it looked to speed up massively with Litten
Stats can support how well a player has performed, but I'd argue that it doesn't necessarily confirm how badly someone has played. Without subtle details like time on the pitch and how much possession/defending while on the pitch, you can't really argue that "he only made 6 drives in the whole game", or "he only made 6 tackles".
Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?
But the fact Taylor made as many carries as masi, paea, and Thompson put together surely tells you he’s being over worked, I think we need to be either smarter with the distribution or give Taylor instructions to pace himself, or we l be looking at another injury to a key player when we least need it
