If even one of the chasers had held back for that we might have had another try. The fact they they all seemed intent on climbing into Calderwood's shorts meant that when he patted it back there was a big empty space and only Huddersfield players near the ball. Not Calderwood's fault and in fact not a bad play.
I don't think he's done much wrong to be fair. Some of the passes he got on Friday weren't great and he was given the ball in the tiniest of spaces with the defence sliding across towards him. By coming back in he gets criticised, but the shouts would be louder if he'd been pushed into touch by trying for the line.
