The stuff said about Ellis is exactly why hes my favourite Fc player, and im hoping those reasons given by Taylor are exactly what were looking for now in the market.
I always remember a game against Cas at our place when Ellis nearly knocked himself out putting a monster hit on junior moors, it rattled moors to the core, Ellis probably came off worse, did it stop him doing it again, he did the exact same thing five minutes later and thats why i love the guy

Exactly, you don't win Player of the Year for 3 years running at an NRL club unless you're a special kind of player and a pom to boot.
Players like Ellis are a rare breed who have the talent, warrior mind set & leadership skills and is probably one of the great players of the generation. As Tag says when Ellis is around everyone raises their performances by small percentages and these in the big games are usually the difference, where Ellis leads the rest follow.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Love Ellis. Best player I've seen in the black and white.
Talking of hard tackles though, have you noticed some of the hits Savelio puts in? He has a good technique that rattles the balls carrier even when he isn't moving at pace. I'm looking forward to seeing him fully fit.

Lee Crooks. Swain. Mick Harrison
G Ellis. Minichiello
Knocker.
Pretty decent set, even without the great gentlemen JW who I never saw.

I know that with such a solid back line in place for next season there is a lot of focus on the front row but for me Taylor, Bowden, Ellis & Matongo isn't a bad game day front row with Brown and Fash (although he's not going to make the cut for me) as backup. Maybe one more to bolster these but I'm more concerned about the lack of cover at hooker as Houghton eases past his prime. Again, I don't think Fash is the answer. I know Kelly or Connor could cover, is that really where we want them playing?

And just the type you'd want to compliment Houghton. He'd probably not want to come for a bench spot or to wait a couple more years to overtake Houghton though.
