As he lined up Leigh's first attempt to win it, I'm sure I wasn't alone in thinking "surely not again!!!!" Talk about history repeating itself.
One thing you have to say about our dear neighbours is that they sure are unique in the annuls of RL history.
The first, and indeed only, club to be both relegated and lose a Cup final to a golden-point drop-goal, and very nearly to the same player
Obviously a 'little' club, such as ours, cannot even remotely aspire to such dizzying heights of achievement that our dear friends have scaled since 2015. Only a 'special' club, such as our nearest & dearest, can continue to find ever more creative ways to trip themselves up in a manner which seems to be beyond every other club in the game
Who would have thought, after all those years of heartbreak, that Wembley Stadium would one day provide so many unforgettable memories for Black & Whites everywhere
It almost feels as if we have now won there four times within the past decade, such is the entertainment provided, specially for ourselves, in 2015, 2023
#16-17 sums it up nicely. Back to back for us but not do great for them!
