I'd agree with that, he does lack the finesse of a top centre , but he's the best back up we have I feel, particularly in defense, where he is very strong. Good to see Carlos is almost ready, I think he's the best centre we have had in years and we really miss him when he isn't playing.

I saw the kick, and Sav sort of diving to bring it back in and touch down, then a scuffle, then all the officials gathered, and it took an age before the try was finally awarded, but I didn’t see the offence.
Like you rider I Jake put the kick through then get pulled back followed the ball and saw Mitch touch it down for the try then just saw what looked like Connor end up on the floor.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Squads do need players like that. He just needs to keep doing what he's doing and working on his game and I will have no complaints.
I just don't see what JJ offers, decent defence, but pretty much nothing going forward, go passing game, slow and doesn't make breaks or many metres.
Players like him should come from within, I'm sure a young player could do his job as good if not better.
He hasn't moved here for 20k a year, so I think we could get much value on the cap than him for a youth player, certainly a player we should be looking at replacing within next season. The top teams don't have squad players like him, they use younger players, done Ok whilst we have injuries, but realistically shouldn't be anywhere near the 17.

Still under using Satae, was fantastic last week, this week 9 drives, no way should Satae be taking the same drives as Bowden in a game, should be doing 15 minimum.

Two negative posts, thought we worked really hard, defensively excellent and thought we looked comfy for most of the game, bombed a couple of trys too. Thought Savelio was outstanding, worked really hard along with Lovodua and Mitch. no real bad performances to be fair.
Looked a bit pedestrian in attack, will help having Gale back and some threat from Carlos, big decision for the Wigan game who to play at 6, Mcnamama or Lovodua, you can have Lovodua on the bench to cover hooker, but feel he is too good to play 40 minutes

Think bonaire is talking about the incident which Sav scored Chris, think Tuli must have thrown a punch, but the try took ages to be awarded, I really enjoyed the game, some great defensive hits from both teams.

Sorry Rider thats the one I meant where Joe put the kick in and Connor kicked it on and Sav scored not Mitch (older age starting to affect me ).

Understand your point, but its a long season, we're only 6 games in. we saw last year what happened when we burnt Satae out due to injuries etc, he wasn't the same player towards the back end of the year. The less work he is doing now will leave him fresher towards the end of the season.

Think a few years back Swifty would have finished that great break off, we’ve got to be pleased with this start to the season, on paper we’re badly patched up, and it feels like bonus points, bigger tests to come mind.
