I agree about Sneyd but you cant criticise him on here as he seems to be the golden boy. Hodgson definitely got the bench wrong today.Johnstone is just average and waste of bench space and Cam Scott dont get the hype.We need to find a big front row quickly and some speed in the backs.I can see Vulcan coming in next week on the wing as Scott and Fonua are too slow. Lets us down again at the Kcom
I thought our lack of props really told tonight. The difference when Satae was on and off was like night and day. Hope Satae doesn't cop a ban for this joke sin bin.
We just don't have enough of an xfactor in attack. If we are on top in a game and we can dominate it and play it on our terms then we will win. But when we are slightly on the back foot or even just in an arm wrestle I have no confidence in our ability to score. It feels like we need to turn the screw on a team and build pressure for ages before we can find a score. Sometimes you just need cheap points, and we just don't seem to have them in us. Against Wigan in the league I never felt for a moment that we would win once we went 16-14 down. Again tonight, as soon at Catalans leveled I knew we were done.
Hodgson has done a great job on our defence and our general attitude. He needs to turn his attention to our attacking play now. Granted the lack of props isn't helping us, but we need to find some more ways to score.
sneyd wasnt the main problem tonight, our bench was way to light, said before fariamo instead of scott, not knocking the kid but dont see the hype around him, fash tried but again just doesnt look big enough , johnstone waste of a bench spot, we cert missed taylor and bowden, need another prop quickly, But its our first crap performance and we looked a bit jaded at times, hodgson first real test about team selection against leeds, Still a good start to the season from Hull overall, need to pick it up against Leeds
once a black and white always a black and white COYH

Has to come down to the pivots, we need a 2nd hooker with some zip, we are relying on Connor, Reynolds has been ok, but he has an injury and is settling in so he gets the benefit of the doubt, but Sneyd, been average for the last couple of years. When was the last time he set up a try not from a kick?
I do think we have enough X factor in attack the problem is we're not getting close enough to to the opposition 20 to out it to use, the few times we did we almost scored every time but for a couple of errors or deemed forward passes , it's the pack that needs strengthening
