We already have an average defending/good attacking bulky type centre signed up in Griffin, it also stunts our youngsters coming through, signings like this I don't agree with, you have your opinion but choose to react like a child same as EastHullfc, you and your ilk can't help reacting like complete keyboard monkey's,
So Jake Connor, then. Sticking by your unwanted cast-off comment in the context of Thewlis' statement? Simple enough question. Note: no name-calling required, just a straightforward answer.

You've either signed him without agreement with our club and so will have to pay a fee- or you haven't actually signed him in which case the timing of the announcement this week With the Huddersfield club in mourning following the death of a young player is a pretty low blow. If you haven't yet signed him then there was absolutely no need to announce it this weekend- the day funeral announcements were made. Seems almost calculated. Not least Connor agreeing to this announcement himself who at 21 will have played alongside many of the players who are completely devastated by the loss of a teammate. If that's the size of his ego then I've changed my mind and I'm glad he's going.
Surely the press ran the story; or are you claiming that Hull FC put the HDM up to it. If it's true that he will not sign until after the season then I would imagine FC would not have wished it to be published but it has & I see no wrong in it. As to doing the right & wrong thing in regard to the death of your young player why did Hudds get rid of Anderson at the same time.

Some of us do. Ignore jools she is the most blinkered poster on our board. She knows nothing about what he is on at hull.
As I posted on our board our poor manager tried to get him on the cheap. He called our bluff and we lost him.
Saying that I have posted on our board a number of times I don't see what is so great about him.
Hope with some better coaching / Support than he got from Anderson he might do well.
Time will tell

Perhaps the current crop of youngsters are not progressing is line with what was first thought. Logan did well but in my opinion was no real different to the player who came on the scene at the end of 2014, he has yet to really kick on.
This is a subject you have often quoted in the past and spun it to criticise Radford. Not saying you are going down that line again BTW.
Not every one of the academy players will graduate to first team SL standard. Examples of this could be given going back years. Also, some signings don't quite cut it when it appeared there should be no reason for them not to.
One thing is for certain. from the squad which started this season we have released Whiting, Yeaman is OOC (he is playing very well this season, but is there scope to extend the contract of a 33 / 34 year old centre if the opportunity comes to sign a longer term player) and Michaels has a question mark against if he will have his contract extended (not because of performances I will add). Throw in that Pryce could be coming to the end his time (OOC) and that Carlos is likely to be our 6 next season, I see no reason why we would not want to put more numbers into the outside backs.

That's the point IMO. There's no point knee-jerking after a signing, saying they're a 'cast off' or that he's not needed, when we don't know what our squad will look like in 2017 yet, there's still a few decisions yet to be made as you pointed out (publically anyway).
Let's see where we're at for 2017 once all business has been completed. As it stands we're losing Yeaman & Michaels, with Tuimavave perhaps moving to 6. They're being replaced by Griffin & Connor, to go with the current lot; Talanoa, Naughton, Fonua, Logan, Lancaster.
After the recent success stories our recruitment has given us, only a fool would write a signing off 7 months before they'll play a game.

Likes a bit of niggle too, bit like Shayne McMenemy.

Any Decent Hudds player with a bit of ambition should just look at Crabtree's wasted career, he could have signed for a bigger club and won a hatful of medals.
No wonder players like Brough, Wardle and Connor want out.
