Imo, Thorman would have to go very, very well for that. If we finish top four and/or have a good bash at the play-offs (I'll include 5th place if it includes having a good bash at the play-offs with it) then I would think it's a success

never said that stephen
just using it as an example,we enquired about orford but he wants to much cash so i reckon he will sign a new contract at his club,so once again there might be no half back options available for 2010 so what im saying is it could end up been a good signing.
you just seem very negative thats all, give agar and the lads a chance.a ball has even been kicked yet,i just think agar and sharp will prove many supporters wrong, your entitled to your opinions.
I'm not negative, just realistic. I've given Mcrae, Kear, Sharp and (to a lesser extent) Agar time in recent years and none have managed to assemble the squad that a club of our stature and resources deserves. We've gone backwards since McRae left in terms of the squad and the current one looks weaker on paper than last years' to me

I bet he could get them if he tried hard enough But its because he says he's waiting for the right man. And I can't see how he would think Thorman is the right man to take us back up into the top 4
read my earlier post.
dont talk rubbish, dont you think agar has tried, like i said who is available worth signing on a 2 or more year deal, name some players whos available who you would be happy with at hull.

Thats why he will never be classed as a great player........who is more consistent...Thorman or Briers...and Briers is injury prone just lately.

But have been in 3 major finals with weaker squads?
