I still think Watts will be loose forward when he's back, but having Abdull available offers so much.
Was talking after Sneyd went off and looked to be limping a bit, we now have genuine strength in the half back positions and if one of our first choices is injured, its not a massive worry as we've got Connor and Abdull ready to fill in, and not just makeshifts like we've had in the past

Turgut was bigged up by some as being the next big thing, on the back of him being the academy captain I guess,
That would be the England academy then. Which suggests that its not just Radford and the Hull FC coaching staff that rate him but also those with no connection to the club. Then again they probably know nothing either.

To be fair to him not all stand out academy players become established in the Super League. In my opinion Turgut is not good enough at the moment but hopefully with the right attitude and help from the coaching staff he'll develop into a better player. The way things are we have to produce our own talent to compete at the top of the table.
Both Miller and Crooks performed better in 2014 never mind 2013 than Turgut did last year which in a superior side not a weaker badly coached one as per 2014. And despite us having a better win ratio when either/both played neither were afforded the opportunity Turgut has at the same age. HTH

Where did I say that Turgut being bigged up on the back of his academy was wrong/incorrect? I simply said he hasn't impressed thus far, has an iffy temperament and that others of same age were binned off with no less performances.

That wasn't worth the wait. Even by your standards that is utter bollox.
You still live in some fantasy land that Peter Gentle was some coaching genius. He was a nice man and a good assistant but a very average head coach. We were poor in 2014 because of the legacy of his (or rather McRae and Howes) terrible recruitment.

Precisely, he seemed like a really warm, genuine guy but ultimately his decision making on players wasn't tough enough. He's currently an assistant at Rabbitohs I think.
I remain unclear as to who the players are that showed potential but Radford incorrectly released are. From what I can see they're mainly playing in the championship having been coached by others.

Didn't really help, as total nonsense.
The reason Miller failed at Hull was Gentle, he brought him to play the wrong role and he was on 3/4 times Turgut, he wasn't value for money,so Radford rightly released him.
Radford gave Crooks plenty of chances but he wasn't good enough and that's why he failed in Aus and Cas and is now playing in the championship.

Masi, my only criticism ( constructive ) is that I wish he had a bit more aggression in him. maybe there is some spare O meley face rub in the changing room he could use.
I can understand it, wouldn't be to harsh about it myself , but he hasn't been very impressive in the majority of games he's played, like you say , he's young , hopefully will get better, the coaching staff and others obviously see something in him
