If Jones has signed for Hudds, whiich i believe he has, maybe we are waiting to secure a replacement beforr we release him.

Hodgson said he hopes to see some movement on recruitment soon. I think/hope we have done all our business by the start of preseason, we're maybe just waiting for some things to line up.

Personally I'd make a play for Navarrette. He's on the outer at Wigan and spend last season on loan at wakey. Can play prop or 13. Hes aggressive enough just needs to find a bit more consistency.

A backrower would be a position of interest too. Maybe a younger option is available but I'd take a look at Joe Wardle of hes available. he's has his injuries but he's as hard as nails.

Outside backs is an nteresting one, no one really available unless we can get an early release from a club.

Hankinson is free to leave Wigan but isn't exactly a speed demon.

Ed Chamberlain has been released by Salford and can play full back, centre and winger but there is probably a reason Salford released him.

Wakey are stacked in the full back position with Walker, Jowitt, Hampshire and Gigot. Walker seemed a good lad at London, but if we could get one of those 4 would prefer Jowitt.

Olly Ashall-Bott is another who has been mentioned too.

Outs:
Kelly
Ratu
Jones

Disappointed we didnt get Innes Senior, I'd rather play Brown than sign Naverette, I'm fact I'd rather play Fash over him.

I dont see the big issue with our props, which SL club has a better set props than us?

We only sign someone to improve our side and of the names been thrown around I dont any of them better than Bowden or Brown.

We need some more depth at prop for me. Masi and Fash aren't good enough.

More than one injury in the prop department and we might start to struggle.

It's a bit harsh saying they're not good enough. Both Masi and Fash are reliable squad players but I feel we need more quality in in the 17. Casty is out of contract and I'd have him for a season. There doesn't appear to be anyone else available unless we do a swap deal with Jones.

Maybe, but they certainly haven't kicked on.

Fash for all his effort doesn't do an awful lot, and Masi is too nice for a kid of his size.

If Jones leaves for a fee, and his wages of the cap, we could put a decent offer in for a lot of quality players, from a lower club team or a player with only a year left on contract, I’m hoping ap and bh are a little more ambitious then a lot of the suggestions on here

But is Naverette better than these, I've never seen anything to say he is, even if he is he would be our 6th prop.

I want better than him or stick with what we have and see if the new coaching set up can improve these.

Sometimes we can get a little divided in opinions of players, we judge them on what we’ve seen whilst they are in a televised game, or statistically.

The truth is you really get a feel for a player, watching them regularly on the pitch, even then opinions are still divided, so we can only offer our thoughts and feelings.

I’m sure Casty, Naverette, or whoever, would offer us something extra, we know the potential of Jack Brown 20, and Massi 24, and in the future hopefully, they will rip it up.

On a different train of thought, I read our new coach, wants to also concentrate on our youth structures, and pathways into the first team, this is certainly an area we’re we have faltered recently, and wondered if Brett is actually looking for up and coming prospects in our search for a middle or a wing.

Leeds have a fine prospect Sam Walters, he’s a massive prop, and highly regarded, I’m not sure on this point, but I think he was a former Widnes junior, and wondered if Brett had already seen his potential at Widnes,

Just my meanderings, no inside knowledge, just a slow day.

Haven’t actually seen Masi break a tackle yet, so I would suggest...yes, he is.

Did when he first broke on the scene, looked a good prospect, but has stagnated in the last two years.

Even if you take him out, I'd still have

Bowden, Fash and Brown in front of him meaning he would 7th prop.

There is a reason Wigan dont want him, neither do Wakey and he will end up in the championship at London.

If we are talking Sam Walter's or equivalent than that's a different story.
