Excellent win, I thought we were much the better team and only thanks to Mcshane did that stay with us.

I thought all did well, but thought Ellis and Sao were great in the pack, Houghton best game for 2 years, Carlos amazing. Thought we played some great rugby, maybe too much at times. Thought Connor had a good game, played with no other pivots last 15 minutes, but controlled the game.

Tough game next week, but have faith in the likes of Swift and Wynne coming back in.

Well done to Lasty and the boys.

Just Wigan to beat in the quarters.
Saints in the semi.
And payback time against Rovers at the Twin Towers............

And then I woke up.

No idea how we back up against Wigan, but credit to the walking wounded today. :D

Congrats on the win, is that 3 or 4 times you've done us in the cup now. Deserved it, good luck v wigan, would be a herculean effort to beat them but theres something about hull and the cup this decade. I'm sure you'll give it a good shot.

"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround."

An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.

Thank you. Hindsight is a great thing but Last's decision to rest 8 players on Thursday was probably the difference. A real cup tie - very close, players dropping like flies and lots of errors but no lack of passion or intensity. Thought Cas heads might go down after Naulago's try from the 20 but great spirit to bounce straight back. Wigan will be an extremely tall order with Shaul, Sneyd and Kelly out as well as Taylor and probably Jones - but hopefully we can get a patched up side out there and dig deep. :)

Considering the short turn around thought it was a good team performance. Carlos was outstanding, thought Faraimo was pretty good along with Ratu, Griffin was a real handful especially at FB, Ellis, Sao & Satae made good meters and gave great go forward. Houghton was more like the player of a few years ago. Important contributions from Kelly & Connor too.

Intrigued at what Hull have to do to get 6 again calls.

Hopefully the injuries picked up are not too bad but very tough ask to back up for the game against Wigan.

Huge credit to all involved and to Last & Purtills game plan and selections .

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Keep up Mr Wiz i have always said we will sadly miss Ratu and Kelly. One of my favourite players
My comment was aimed at Faraimo getting the call in front of Swift when we need speed on the wing particularly as we had Fonua on the bench

As it turned out Faraimo was a good pick. Great awareness for the quick restart leading to Ratu's try and he was really unlucky at being called back when Millington went down.

I expect Swift will play on Saturday and get a further chance to cement a regular spot.
