Not the end of the world. After Sunday what message would be sent out to the (fringe)players who stepped in,play well..get dropped when a named player is available. This is where a big squad comes in.It is up to the players wither dropped, injured or suspended to earn their place.
One match ban was probably right, it's just the inconsistency of the RFL that irritates me. If the disciplinary committee did their job properly Catalans wouldn't be able to raise a team most weeks.

The tackle deserves a ban, it the fact it was in an international friendly that we realeasedhom for. To help the game, that annoys me, they had a choice of 0 or1 games and they should have taken the situation into account, instead of giving him the maximum ban

I disagree.
Would Hull have every Peter Stirling out if he was fit to play?
Would Brisbane every have dropped Lockyer?
Would Wigan every have dropped Andy Farrell.
If your big name players have been playing well and are fit to play, you play them.

Sounds to me like we're talking about 2 different Grade 1 charges , the NRL's which accumulates points (and could, if guilty, result in a ban), and the RFL's which does turn into a ban.
Ok, he pleads guilty, and has been charged before, but......
According to the review panel decision...
