I don't actually see this as a Hull FC issue or supporting Hull FC in a time of need. This is a much wider issue that fundamentally affects us all. He is asset stripping the SMC of assets he doesn't own and using them for a company he does own Hull City.
I've never understood the SMC being run by football people from day 1, its not a football asset as its equally not a rugby asset. Its a council 'people of Hull' asset that should be used for the people of Hull.
The fact that FC lease the stadium for there matches is as irrelevant to the argument of our support for them, that says I've become a trampolining fan because I think its wrong to throw them out.
The stadium and its surrounding facilities should be independently run as a business. Rent from City and FC should be independently assessed and set at a figure that allows the stadium to at least wipe its face. If City or FC can't afford that sum then questions around the viability of either the stadium or the clubs gets called into question. Then I as a council tax payer wouldn't want either financially supporting with my money.
The issue being discussed here is not an FC one, (it may become one if a certain megalomaniac makes hos next move) its Hull residents issue as Hull City have taken an asset I could have used and made it for the sole use of an Allam business.
