On the assumption that Hoy will be here next season to replace Reynolds and Jake moves to 6 and Ma'u leaves as been speculated that opens up one quota spot. Where do we use it if at all? Lots of talented younger players on the periphery of the team maybe should be given an opportunity.

As things stand I would probably “bank” it and save it for during the season when the inevitable injuries and suspensions occur.

Decent overseas players become available during the season and with a quota spot available it gives us a chance to move quickly.

Depends on the squad make up when all deals are agreed and signed but that would be my current thinking.

You make some Interesting points. There could be one or two surprising exits which may have be filled with overseas signings. I don't really like to write off stalwarts but some of them are on the decline.
