In essence this has probably been a signing with Hodgson agreement, and whilst we needed strengthening in the halves, while not being a knee jerk reaction, it’s looking very disappointing now.
It makes me wonder, when we get in these negotiations for star quality players, we are not being guided correctly, injury does happen, as with say Bevan French, but the difference between the two players is poles apart, is French paid that much more than Reynolds, I don’t pretend to know.
I suspect it will hinge on what was in his contract, especially regarding the number of appearances in his first season. If he didn't reach the target, then it may simply be a case of invoking the relevant clause.
