You've got a good coach there fellas. He'll always get a good welcome at Wire.

I think he’ll be happy for TS to get a grip of the rugby side of the club.

The only coach he got rid of fairly quickly was Parkinson back in his City days. Think he only lasted a couple of months.

Or that I can remember anyway

Be interesting to know who this ex player is? Prepared to tell us?

Not a chance mate as he does read this forum.
Besides that I gave him my word, Although he did give me permission to post what he told me, but he also told me not to mention him by name under any circumstances as he's still in and around the club and also knows Tony pretty well too.
We've exchanged numbers and are having a get together in the near future too, so I don't want him chinning me

Fair enough.

Although you have dangled a little carrot there which will get many peoples old grey matter working overtime

As I said earlier the rumour was doing the rounds as soon as Smith left Rovers so whether it was just a rumour or there was more to it is fairly irrelevant now.

Onwards and upwards.

Really pleased with the signing of Tony Smith and we have finally broken the cycle of appointing assistants .

Rovers fans keep saying he'll have a bust up with Pearson, but he seemed to get on OK with Moran and Hetherington

I just don’t buy the narrative that’s coming across from the other side of the river in regards to Smith and so called fallings out etc. you don’t have a successful career as a Head Coach by falling out with CEO’s and chairman of clubs especially a club like Leeds with Hetherington.

As for their fans saying him and Pearson will fall out as Smith will spit his dummy out if he doesn’t get his own way etc just smells like panic and bull poop. Pearsons shown with Radford & Hodgson he gives the coaches he’s appointed every opportunity possible to succeed and has been more than patient.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

makes you laugh deluded dobbins saying it wont last long with Pearson, since 2013 when Radford took over we have had 4 coaches now (including last), yet they are now on their 7th with Peters in the same timescale......think i'd know who my money is on to bite the bullet first and it aint Smith!
