They're right though. Abdull outplayed Carlos last night. The play to beat 4/5 defenders for his try was top class, just imagine what he could do if he was a couple of stone lighter and as fit as he should be.
Carlos just isn't doing it for me. He seems to labour with the ball for too long, either putting too much pressure on the man receiving his pass, or he takes so long he has to take the line on. It doesn't look like he sets any plays up before he gets the ball, which is fine if you're Rangi Chase and everyone around you is on your wavelength.
Thought Abdull responded exceptionally well and again showed what he can do, its now upto him and the conditioning staff to get himself into peak fitness and become a SL player on and off the pitch.
I agree about CT as he just doesnt do enough in the halves and is too much of an individual at times. He was better for us when playing as a centre earlier in the season.
To be quite honest we have the making of a great pairing in Sneyd and Abdull as long as he can get himself in to shape.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Big pre season for Abdull and move Carlos back to centre. Abdull must be a serious consideration for Wembley now might well depend on how he performs next week if selected.
Good solid win last night can't argue with nilling any opposition in SL.

Would feel for Washy if he missed out on the final - he was been very good this year, and actually had a big hand in all our tries last week (scored and set the others up) - and he tightens that right edge up, plus it will be the last chance I would imagine to play at Wembley. Sometimes someone who has been there before and wouldnt be overawed is a better option than someone like Hadley who could freeze on the day

I never mentioned Thompson. I would be tempted with a Wembley bench of Pritchard, Bowden, Hadley and Washbrook. Taylor and Watts can do decent minutes and Ellis can spell at prop too
Didnt't think we were great,Widnes were poor, think its glaringly obvious that we need a running Half with pace, hopefully Adam and Radders are on with it.

Certainly not the greatest team we have played this season, but they are a really threat ball in hand at times. They certainly know how to move the ball around and at speed. Also true to say they had quite a few injuries, but there was still a good amount of quality in that team. What is most pleasing is that we out muscled them out of the game, defended well, and we broke their line several times, out kicked them (even without out first choice kicker) and took our chances. The game ran out of steam a little, which is understandable, it's been an energy sapping few weeks and there was no need to go 100% in the final quarter.
Personally I think we made a pretty decent team look ordinary. Fair play to the lads for that.
