Think it’s quite common knowledge that he was on his way to Canberra until they pulled the plug.
Tbf he is right we are nowhere near wining trophies even with the signings we have next season. Personally centre next season but with the option of roaming when he feels the opportunity arries

I stated recently on another thread and mooted it elsewhere, I think he’d make an excellent free roaming loose man. This would certainly accommodate the new players coming in, especially if we retain Smith.
The amount and type of defending he’d have to do in the middle might blunt his effectiveness with ball in hand. I’d enjoy seeing props run at him for 80 minutes.
1 or 6 are where I’d least like to see him playing against us. 6 maybe just edges it.

This looks good to me although we still have to confirm Walker for next season and of course the chances of all being available for an extended run are slim.

Depends also of course if Will Smith signs up.
Too true.
For this reason I would sign Smith and then we will have quality cover for any of those missing which as we all know will be at least one of them
Hopefully we keep Walker also but I would have thought that the deadline for that would have passed by now so we should be hearing something soon

I wouldn't use our last quota place on a a utility player nor matter how well Smith does. I'd use it on a second row or centre.

Connor has been an excellent player for Hull and very loyal, as I'm sure he has had offers from clubs. I wouldn't blame he if he left Hull for a club with better chances of winning something or a crack at the NRL.
Think we need to enjoy him while we have him, maybe the club already know this and why we are looking at Walker and Smith.

One match at Cas not so long ago, Jake was sublime at centre, he was on the right edge, admittedly he had Albert & Ratu finishing off his classy passes and movement. He was outstanding that evening at centre all evening. A pleasure to be there.
Although I’d very much like him to be a halfback, he’s not quite nailed it there for me, as a few good men have said, this roaming role, attacking from behind the pack, and defending out wide has mileage in it. I’ve no worries about props and forwards running at him in the middle, it is what most teams try to do, isolate the weakest defenders, Mikey Lewis, Sneyd, etc, if we are keeping young Jack centre/loose forward for me.
