I understand the approach from AP, it feels like the penny has dropped for him, realising that brining in Aussies on massive wages is not sustainable for a club in our position. I get it will take time, and in the long term it probably will benefit the club. But this is a results business, can this club afford to have years of further decline, both on and off the pitch?

For me, there is a clear missing link in the hierarchy between coach and owner, we are desperate for a 'Head of Football' in my opinion, a fresh face to take the burden off James Brett and Adam. I do not doubt the hard work they put in, but for me it could be as simple as brining in someone who really knows what they are doing.

The maliase at this club is finally being addressed. We are not privvy to what goes on although some on here dream they do then say it as fact. None of us are happy ATM but you can see the steady clear out continuing.

I understand also what the club are trying to do and fully support them but I think the product on the field does need addressing 1st, it's a real chicken and egg scenario that for me starts with the coaching.

Without a competitive, consistent team on the field how are we going to retain and increase our fan base to enjoy these seeds being planted now.

I'd like to see a defensive line moving up to meet the opposition and some speed and variation in our attack irrespective of the results.

I'd like to come away from a game knowing we gave our all.

I agree, I don't think the fans want too much with our current team, no one expects us to win the GF, home form was good upto Leeds, had we beaten both Leeds and Cas, I think most fans would be pretty happy, that's just 2 more wins, you could maybe add in Wakey away.

Slightly off topic I see City's CEO Jim Rodwell has left the club. He was well known to Pearson through football circles and I think they had a good working relationship. I wonder who will replace him and how the change will affect our relations with the SMC.

But the big question is the man (Hodgson) leading the clearout the right man? And many of us aren't convinced

it depends which Aussies you bring in.In our case you have to admit that Hodgsons recruitment is shockingly poor.
What we need is a no nonsense disciplinarian coach who knows what he is doing.
Without some quality overseas players especially now in the forwards the club is doomed to fail because the gap between what the club consider to be potential in our younger players and first team football is too large and will take two or three seasons to see them mature.
Its also uncertain just how many will actually come through and make the grade.
Rugby union is an area we should now be seriously looking at.Not the big earners but some of the fringe guys.
Its a different game now, forwards are mobile and much fitter than in the past and you see a lot of pace in the backs.

Probably why Adam is so laid back in his comment despite a few hiccups in recent weeks
He is going back to Hull City

Interesting suggestion but one that makes sense, Adam needs an income, FC need a better stadium deal...
