And if they really are that bad, who would want them anyway.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

First - To the many fans who constantly shout offside ref!! Every team is offside. We are always offside. All teams should have an A defender busting a gut to close down the runner. We do not. Nor do we have a 4th or 5th man out doing the same to swamp them into a bowl and disrupt their passage of play. However, our D is much improved and a lot of it is keeping a tight line and defending as a team. The biggest issue with us, we barely run onto the ball. We take it stationary and expect to roll the 10 into a rushing defence. Never going to happen regardless of how big and strong a player is. But we make D's look good with this play and why we constantly get tackled by any type of rush. We run onto the ball and the opposition will plant and heal earlier to brace for impact.
Two - Speed. Not actual pace, although that would help and is hopefully getting resolved. But the actual speed we play the ball and move the ball. The above running onto the ball improves our chances of winning a ruck and getting on the front foot. However, the speed at which we move the ball is pedestrian. Drastic improvements needed.
Three - Runners. One up rugby is ok if you're on the front foot rolling 10 yards with fast play the balls. If not, run in pairs, its an oldy but a goody. At least make it hard for the defender next to the tackler to engage because of a supporting runner, and an offload or two may even become available.
Four - When Connor isn't fullback, our set plays are so easy to read. Connor if fit should always be full back in my opinion. Compliments the attack and can come In across the whole line where he's sees it. And boy does he see it. Pure natural talent with ball in hand, bit of position work needed, but he has the perfect head coach for that.
Five - Attack. Answers on a postcard here. Improve the above and this helps. Improve options. We always set with the short runner and man behind play. We hit the man behind a lot. Mix it up and let's use the some corridor's. Throw the pass through the corridor to the man running onto it, doesn't always have to go to the man behind, he can support the play on the inside.
Six - Anything over a three year contract has to stop and the whole sentimental values Hull has must be reduced. Let legends come back and have a clap and let them leave. Not going to go into names but I'm sure we all have our thoughts. When anyone is signing a contract first thought should be 1. Whats the output? 2. What else is available? Not they have cult or legend status. Rugby insta a game you can guarantee 5 years of good service. Leave that for the footy players.
Positives: Connor and Satae - Both class. Satae looking a bit tired of late, but the guy has put a mammoth shift in this season.
Hodgson - Bizarrely despite going backwards in the league, the D has improved and that's down to him. I like him, just feel he is doing a job handcuffed. Would love to see them removed. And, are these imaginary handcuffs the reason Watson said no?
Fans - Yes we are a moaning bunch, but nobody can deny we back this club to the top of the hill. Especially with our hard earned coin. Just stop the constant "Gerr em on side!!" This is the post of the season making some excellent points about our style (?) and formation of the team, not slagging fellow posters or the club just making very vaild points thst are relevant
Competitive - Up until 7 games ago, we have looked competitive in all matches. If only we could attack.

Great synopsis
I think we have some great players at the club - Connor, Satae, Lane, Cator, Savelio, Swift, Griffin - the club can be built around these players
Then we have the next mid level - Tuimavave, Sneyd, Talyor, Ligi, Mau, Shaul, Fash, Brown - some of these are have potential, some are on the downward spiral - none are anything other than average other than on rare occasions
Finally the bottom tier who could all leave for me - Houghton, Fonua, Mcnamara, Reynolds, Johnsone, Scott, Bowden, Matongo
Id like to see wholesale changes but weve done that before and the bad culture remains. Maybe were just a poisoned chalice of a club?
