I'd take a punt on George Lawler at Rovers. Always impressed me and can play anywhere in the forwards. He's served a long apprenticeship in a struggling side and is now ready to step up to play for a big club. Thoughts anyone?

Rovers won't let him go surely?
I wanted us to make a play for him when Rovers went down. Good player, but do we need him now we have Cator?

Cator has played approx the same number of senior games (albeit quite a lot for Leigh) as Lawler but is 3 years younger. I think Lawler is OOC next season. If Rovers continue their run rate of 3 SL wins every 558 days maybe he'll be looking for an out.

Yeah, I think we picked them both up through playing at Wakefield college, Joe arguably looked the better of the two 3/4 years ago and he certainly looked a different level whilst at York, hence Saints signing him. I cant understand why he hasn't got a chance but I guess James Bentley has took his chances really well in that side, but Joe needs to be playing SL week in week out as James will be next season. Both remind me of a young Gaz Ellis when he first moved into the second row at Wakefield.

I like him but don't see a need for him with Cator.
I wouldn't be chasing too many of there players in the positions we need. Mulhern maybe? But even he's gone off the boil

He’s a former West Hull junior Marcus, good player, very versatile, Lawler, Cator, Lane, has the makings of a future back three, with no homesick or travel problems, the beginnings of the new club Hull, get in.

We have no non fed places left, doesnt matter how many years they have been here or if they have a British passport, its where they played their academy rugby. So any signings will have to be federation players.
