I'd like to see the quota place used for an NRL stand off. No idea who is available though. I can't think of anyone in SL who fits the bill either.
Also like to see another prop. I don't think our fringe props are that effective in truth. Maybe Eddie Battye? certainly impressed when on loan at Wakey. Old fashioned name and old fashioned physque. Plays with heart and aggression though.

If I'm getting rid of a back it would be Fonua, quots spot, one of our highest paid players and really hasnt performed.
Completely agree. He was brought back for sentimental reasons and hasn't played anywhere near as well as he did in his first spell. Unless a new coach believes he can unlock Fonua's best form, I'd look to move him on and reinvest his salary more sensibly.

I have to agree with you. I said at the time we should have used the quota spot for another forward. We could have made Ratu a better offer unless is mind was set on RU.
Biggest priority is a 6. If we get a fee for Jones that might give us some money to tempt a contracted player. I don't watch the NRL so have no idea about players over there. Thinking on players in SL... Lolehea? Was poor at Leeds but has done well at Salford. No guarantee of replicating that form with us though. Trueman? Looks a good prospect. Doubt Cas would part with him however. Sezer? Possible swap with Jones. Can't see Watson countenancing that.
Pickings appear slim currently. I suppose another option could be to move Connor to 6 and look to recruit a more ball playing fullback.

It won't be easy, that's for sure. But that's sometimes what has to be done, and agents can put feelers out and go from there. Like I say, my ideal is that a new coach finds the way to bring the best out of him and we get the Fonua we know, and the dynamism he brings. But in 2020 he's been wildly inconsistent and underwhelming.
I think brown needs more game time next season. Shows up well when he plays.
I agree with fonua, although it's been tough for him. got bad Injury before he came back. Was out for a year. Took time to get his fitness back, then season was suspended. It's just been stop start for him. More so then most others.
Hopefully a good off season and we will see his best again.

More than likely. We would have a fair chunk to play with if you combined Jones and Kelly's wages but even if you wanted to spend that much on one player I doubt Huddersfield could be persuaded to let him go anyway. I'm struggling to come up with many realistic targets, certainly in this hemisphere.
