Agreed, he's a once in a generation player in terms of skill. Hope you're right about Kelly, another year would be great.
Think connors lack of speed will prevent him getting a good nrl deal , one of the lower teams may take a punt on him and give him a 1 year deal. Hope so anyway , then might prefer a long lucrative contract to stay at hull

In the last 14 seasons Melbourne have had the best or 2nd best Defence for 12 of those 14 seasons
Defence is a beautiful thing
The most impressive thing about st Helen's currently is their defence. Their attack is good but much of this is off the back of defence that strangles the opposition into submission. If we improved our defence to that level and bring in some quality forwards we can be a match for saints and wire. No half back combo in the comp is better than Kelly and sneyd and throw in connor and we have as good as anyone. Just need to get some dominant forwards

If connor had pace hed be one of the best players in the world imo. Still lacks a bit of consistency but has more ability than any Hull player I can think if since sterling. Still only 24 and will only get better

Knights were smothered into submission Storm are relentless in defence and now 4 points clear at the top No real heroes just grafters who know their job and carry it out Same as Patriots Turnover of staff is no big deal They do such a great job on recruitment They are obsessed with small detail They want ‘family’ men with high quality character They are a true family club

Agree , not sure if the Aussies would like jakes temperament either, and he would be targeted. But like you say , he’s only 24 , time to improve and change

I’ve said from the very early days that he is a future Hall of Fame and will move to 6 as soon as Kelly moves on AP should make him marquee player now on 6 year contract

He plays in the 2nd row , we’ve seen him get destroyed in the centres playing for England at centre against the Aussies, hence he wasn’t signed to play in the centres for Canberra
